Summer Reading
We're excited to announce that the 2027届毕业生 夏天 阅读 is Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro. This text explores what it means to be human, curiosity, learning, and knowledge, as well as artificial intelligence. 的 FYE Summer Reading is designed to provide a common intellectual journey that generates questions, prompts conversations, and binds the first-year class together.
Class of 2026 呸!咄!奖 Winners
的 First-Year Experience Prize, supported with the generosity of Candace Carlucci Backus ’66, is be awarded annually to up to three projects by first-year students in recognition of exceptional scholarly or artistic achievement in the fall’s Scribner Seminars.
Maia Haiduc-Dale ’26, Natalie Jones ’26, and Sayuri (Saya) Pfeiffer ‘26 received the award for their outstanding work in their fall Scribner Seminars.
